There is a saying that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Although the origins of this saying are debated, the message is clear. When we are ready to learn something, the lesson will arrive. The key is to be open to receiving it. To be curious and let the lesson illuminate us. The lesson can reveal itself in a variety of ways–in the lyrics of a song, in a comment from a friend, or in the words written on the back of a truck. Since the lesson can show up anywhere, we need to be aware and alert, then follow this illuminating and inspirational guidance wherever it takes us.
This blog is about the lessons I receive and how I interpret them. I aspire to be a curious firefly and hope that in some small way, sharing what I learn will create a quiet glow that sparks and inspires curiosity in you as well. I welcome your comments on what resonates with you and invite you to share your own illuminating lessons.
